The fundraiser that my "other" family from 99.9 the Hawk put together last Sunday raised just over $3,000! I am proud to say that I have worked for 99.9 the Hawk for over 9 years and I miss and really look forward to getting back on the air real soon! I have had a few people who couldn't make it ask if they could still make a donation. The answer is absolutely, but I have to get the contact name at St. Luke's and the address. In the meantime, just hit "comment" on this blog or email me at djfreddy@rcn.com and I'll be sure to get it to you. Still have a very sore throat and not able to eat much more than pudding but it seems to be getting better each day. Thursday night I spoke with a guy who went through the same exact treatments as I did only 3 weeks earlier. He told me that he had just returned from Burger King after eating his first Whopper since finishing treatment. I was thoroughly encouraged after speaking with him!
